22 Jul Splash About chooses GUST Swim school to showcase the latest in kids’ swimwear
When much-loved kids’ swimwear brand Splash About was looking for a location to showcase its designs – complete with the facility to take some stunning underwater shots – the GUST Swim School team were happy to help.
Our Centre of Excellence, in Stone, Staffordshire, already has plenty of experience in running underwater photo shoots, thanks to our long-standing collaboration with Starfish Underwater Photography.
Several times a year, we hold underwater photo sessions which are open to members of our swim school, as well as visitors. It’s always great fun – with props, toys and accessories keeping children aged three months and above entertained while creating a series of beautiful images that will be treasured for years to come.
We’ve got two pools to choose from too. Our Lagoon pool is for older and more confident swimmers while The Cove, especially for pre-schoolers, opened last year.
So when the creative team at Splash About contacted us earlier this month, we agreed that the opportunity was a great fit. We’re pleased to say that we’ve even been able to recruit a group of brilliant models from our own little swimmers who can’t wait to take part.
A kids’ swimwear photoshoot with a difference
We’ve always enjoyed a good relationship with Splash About. For a start, we’ve been proud stockists of their high-quality products for years. From Happy Nappies to towels and other kids’ swimwear, we’ve got a great selection over on our online store.
Lucy, from GUST Swim School, said: “Splash About emailed us to say that their creative design team were looking to work together with our Swim School for photography as we had been highly recommended – we were of course thrilled and agreed straight away.
“It also turned out that the underwater photographer they had sought to use was our very own Lucy from Starfish – it seemed the perfect match.
“We have a number of parents and babies coming along to model the ranges for us, who will have exclusive use of the pool and viewing area to photograph all their lovely swimwear from 8am to 3.30pm on Thursday, July 25.
“We are all super excited about this first shoot and very much looking forward to many more in the future.”
Over the past year, Splash About have also supported us in our very own GUST Swim School branded Happy Nappies for babies and toddlers.

Having visited the school a couple of years ago I was really impressed with everything I saw. The clarity of the pool water, the vibrant colours, fun enthusiastic lessons, the cleanest changing rooms I’ve ever seen and a really lovely team of people.
“I was so pleased to hear that a second pool had been built and that GUST had accepted our request to hold our underwater shoot at The Cove.”
