It’s been a busy time at GUST Swim School. We recently completed our extension, opening a new Cove pool created especially for pre-schoolers to complement the Lagoon, which is designed for older and more confident swimmers. We’ve had fantastic feedback about our new and improved facilities, and we can’t wait to welcome even more families in the New Year. What’s more, (just to keep us extra occupied) we’ve also updated our online shop in time for the festive season. With this in mind, we’ve put together some Christmas gift ideas, perfect for swimmers of all abilities and ages.

Make swim essentials fun

Whether your child is experienced or is venturing into the water for the very first time, there are certain items which are an absolute must in every swim bag. That doesn’t mean swimming essentials need to be boring, however.

Goggles are always in high demand at GUST, and we sell a functional but fun selection online and in our onsite shop. Try these Aqua Sphere Vista Jr Goggles, which are available in a choice of colours or the Zoggs Phantom Junior Mask

Go for a theme 

Does your child love all things brave, daring and cape-wearing? Do they prefer Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman? Whatever they’re into, you can find colourful superheroes’ designs on our durable swim caps, armbands,kickboards and goggles too.

Alternatively, Disney fans love these Finding Dory armbands, which make a great learn to swim aid.

Pool play Christmas gift ideas for swimmers

With the right level of supervision, pool play can help to create a lifelong love of water. For increased confidence and strength-building, try a structured activity such as this Clam Hunt Dive and Retreat game. You could also set up a challenge to collect dive rings one at a time or, for more experienced swimmers, all in one go.

Meanwhile, our water-friendly Superheroes’ themed splash ball is great for more informal games, and can be used in the pool or bath.

Underwater photography vouchers

For memories to last a lifetime (and a Christmas present with a difference) why not give a voucher for one of our underwater photography sessions, led by an award-winning photographer?

Sessions are open to children aged three months and above and take place at our Centre of Excellence in Stone, Staffordshire on dates throughout the year. Once the sessions are finished, parents then have the opportunity to purchase a set of beautiful prints to share and cherish forever.
